Firstly I need no opinions on what I'm doing, I'm happy with my decision and so is my son, it is an amazing opportunity for all of us :)

Now that's out the way! My 9 year old son is starting boarding school this Sept. I have been part of independent schooling but never boarding and wondering if there are any tips/hints as to what to expect so I don't seem stupid! Already been told they don't need hockey sticks til after Christmas not before! Oops!

We've had some info from school but some parents have been part of this world for years/generations so it's all very normal to them. Just want to make sure I have all things covered and know what to do and expect. Thanks

Desperately looking for a recipe for "oaties" had it on a card in a box by margurite patten (sp?) its like a cake/flapjack with oats sugar butter and golden syrup but need amounts.

I have some old comics/ kids magazines from the 1980's. My mum kept them quite a lot and in sequence. Include Postman Pat, Buttons and My little ponies. Probably worth very little but trying to find where to try and sell them and for how much?

My employer has paid me full time wage for last 4 months and I only work 4/5ths full time. They even paid me it wrong after they knew about the mistake. I told them from the start that my contract said full time and didn't return contract as wrong, nothing done til now and they asking for overpayment back. hadn't checked amount on wage slip, trusting I know but its their mistake. Any ideas about where I stand?

My mum, now age 59, studied this at school and wants to know the poem. She doesn't know the first line or author. It was in a book published by Faber at the time (about 45 years ago!!!)

My 4 year old has been poorly on and off for over a year, cannot gain weight and is falling more behind in development. Suffers bad tummy pain and frequent diarrhea. Paediatrician did blood tests, but he was well at the time and now discharged him saying nowt wrong, however he is bad agin with tummy and bowels. How can I get somewhere without appearing to be paranoid pushy mum? All his symptoms match with Crohns but now I just don't know where to start as would have to be rereferred to Paeds. Anyone been through similar?
