What do your parents think of your fav bands..?

I know how you feel man. My dad and me have similar taste in music, if it wasnt for him i woulda never started listening to metallica,korn, etc. He don't like some of the bands that have alot of screaming in it but he dont really care, bc he listens to alot of rock too. My mom don't really like it, she gets mad every now and then and says i listen to it to much haha. but its whatever man, do what makes you happy, dont worry bout what anybody else thinks!

I listen to a bunch of pop punk, alternative rock, alternative metal, rock, etc. and my mom keeps saying "How the heck can you listen to that stuff!!" or something like "I can't stand heavy metal" (even though that's not what I listen to). My dad only hates it of it's all screaming, but otherwise he's cool with it.

My dad thinks all i like is metal when i don't really listen to metal at all when he has been listening to the same bands for the last 50 years so he should shut up lol. i listen to SKA, Punk, Electronic, Some 80s stuff. My mother on the other hand listens to most of my music and really likes it. who cares what anyone has to say about your music listen to what you want music defines who you are don't let anyone take that away from you.

My mom loves all the music I listen to. We both listen to everything from like the 50's to current. It's not that my dad doesn't specifically like the music I listen to, he's just not that big of a fan of music. He pretty much only likes Johnny Cash and Conway Twitty lol. But he doesn't care even if I blare my music in the house.

I share the same music taste with my dad. My mom doesn't listen to much music, but quite a few bands I like she likes as well.

My dad: Tower of capacity, Chicago, Steely Dan. i respect all of those bands too, by utilising the way. As for my mom she likes Carrie Underwood, Brad Paisley, and a range of of those different usa stars. Edit: Dad also likes Poncho Sanchez, Santana, and Tito Puente. And my mom likes the Rascal Flatts

Well, my mom doesn't mind my taste in music, but my dad is kind of a born-again christian so he tried to stop me from listening to thrash metal, but then he stopped doing that lol.

They don't know what I listen to. If they did they would be mad at me, and we would fight all the time. I listen to stuff like Falling in Reverse and Escape the Fate.

I share the same taste in music as my dad. My mom on the other hand..not so much.

But that's how all parents are. I'm sure their parents were like that and I'm sure I would be like that if I were a parent. really, who cares. everyone here is not unique.
