Crows enter the race for Travis Cloke?

Does this mean Adelaide don't like their chances of retaining Kurt Tippett?

They can have him! They'll have to disclose what they have offered as he is a restricted free agent. Collingwood also has the choice to match any and all offers received by Cloke's management.

I hope that whoever does pay over the odds for him never have to rely on him to win a game after the final siren. Imagine this, as an example, Adelaide are behind Collingwood by 1 point late in the last quarter of the 2014 Grand Final. The Crows kick deep in to their forward line and Cloke marks, 20 metres out on a slight angle. As he lines up, the siren goes. Cloke walks in, kicks, and ...... Adelaide lose by 1 point!

Very interesting indeed. I dont really see much of a difference in the way Adelaide would perform by having Cloke instead of Tippett. They are both key tall forwards, Tippett being more versatile as he can go in the ruck, but Cloke having the better stats over the course of his career.

By the way Cloke has been playing this year it seems he is in need of a change, and that could maybe see him get back to his form from last year.

Tippett for me is a great player, and for many years has had so much potential but is still off the elite bracket - I do think he works well with Walker but for me a change of club could do him good, hes got such a good build and is versatile and has good agility for someone so tall - almost Basketball like skills.

A forward line of Tippett, Cloke AND Walker would be amazing!

Hopefully the Lions can snag Tippett ... he would allow Sauce Merrett to go back to what he does best, full back. Of course he can still help out in the ruck (would you like some Sauce with that Leuenberger?) but a Brown-Tippett combo up forward would be fantastic, with guys like Zorko, Green, Banfield and Karnezis at their feet.

Best case scenario, the Crows get Cloke, therefore are less reluctant to strike a deal for Tippett, and the Lions gain Tippett!

Personally, i'd rather Tippett stay, no doubt. But if he decides to leave, we do need a bigger body in the forward line... This year i've just not rated Cloke that highly at all, but he is a bigger guy. i'm split between thoughts on this. Very interesting though

When I read this last night on twitter, I just yelled out...."NO".

Then I asked the Q...why the heck for?, why are the Crows pursing him?. I hope the Crows don't get him, I don't rate Cloke highly...is very unpredictable.

The Crows have an up and coming star forward in Lynch. Have faith in the young fella...I say.

    Hmm... interesting!

While both are of similar age, Cloke has achieved more than Tippo and is a better kick for goal. However, Tippo is a better contested marker and his kicking has improved.

Its seems like we've seen the best of what Cloke can offer already (in the last 3 years), but Tippo just keeps on improving I think Tippo is probably the better player to keep at this stage.

    I'd much rather keep Tippet.
