Saving privat ryan, I grew up watching that movie and I'd always cry at the ending, to this day that movie sparked a intrest in me for old war memronilia and stories, over the years my styles and likes changed but not this pull towards these great moments in history, I even had the honor of getting to visit the grave of Aubrey cosen. I love this little part of history it gave me, and it's odd too because most people in my age group don't have much respect for war heros or famous battles. I remember once they gave a little speech over the PA at school about the aneversy of vimmy rigde, at this time I heard the kid next to me say sarcastically "oh great a history lesson" I was almost ready to knock that kid out yelling you f*cling disgrace! I recal another time when it was remenrence day, and at the 11th hour I stood up alone in the middle of the class. I have a very high respect for soldiers because of that movie, I love it, and i would change a single scene in it if I could because it made me the person I am today. Sorry for the long response though =P

  • Ok so this movie has yet to premeire but it is coming out in September I think. Its 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower' based on the book.

It hasn't come out yet but I've read the book and saw the movie trailer.

It changedmy life because it made me want to do something crazy. To stop worrying about the future and just have fun now. It made me realize I won't be young forever and I need to take advantage of my youth. If you haven't seen the trailer I suggest you search it on youtube.com

I know this isn't exactly what you wanted, but this is the only movie that came close to changing my life.

    Hope it was any help!

Night of the Living Dead (1968)

Really got me into zombies and horror films in general. Also it jump-started my interest in old b&w movies such as Frankenstein, Nosferatu, and Dracula, not to mention Vincent Price.

When I found out about it's low budget it opened up the world of indie films to me, and a great number of those have had an influence on me.

Overall it was a gateway for me, as well as one of my all time favourites.
