    You can do this at least two different ways:

    4+(2/5)x=x

    4=X-(2/5)x

    4=(5/5)x-(2/5)x. Get common denominator

    4=(3/5)x

    (5/3)*4=x. Multiply by the reciprocal

    (20/3)=x

    OR

    [4+(2/5)x=x]*5. Multiply entire equation by 5 to get rid of fraction

    20+2x=5x

    20=3x

    (20/3)=x

    4+(2/5)x=x

    4 = x - (2/5)x

    4 = (3/5)x 1-2/5 = 3/5

    x= 4*(5/3)

    x=20/3

    4=-(2/5)x + (5/5) <=>

    4=(3/5)x<=>

    4 . 5=3x<=>

    20/3=x
