Why did NBC not show the men's marathon medal ceremony?

I grew up in Uganda and was waiting for the medal ceremony. Now I missed it because of NBC.

Is there anyway I can watch it online?

    The only reason I watched the closing ceremonies was to see the men's marathon medal ceremony. Such a huge win for Uganda and Kiprotich and also an olympic tradition. Why would they edit it out?

    I cannot find a link anywhere to see it online.

    I just watched 3 hours of the NBC coverage hoping to see the mens' marathon medal ceremony. Why in the world wouldn't NBC show the final (and most significant - hence its placement) medal ceremony of the Olympics...? I guess we'll just have to watch it online...

    Wow NBC skipped parts of the closing ceremony? That sucks. Having originated in Greece, the marathon medal ceremony is the most historic part of the event, they should have shown it.
