Breast implants and tummy tuck without husbands support?

I want to get mommy makeover of a breast lift with implant and a tummy tuck. I had two c sections and lost about 85 lbs. I worked out mandate right to lose all that weight and continue to do so. I told my husband I wanted the mommy makeover and he was supportive. I told hm how much it would cost, about 16,000. I have half saved up. And with overtime I can safe about 1,000 a month and have the entire amount by april of 2013. No he's telling me its too much and we can do other things w the money but then he says its your money do what you want. My question is, did you go thrjwith plastic surgery without 100% of your spouse? I'd really prefer to hear from people married w kids. As opposed to just living together w a boyfriend. We have more in the line. I just don't want to bust my hip with the overtime for him to tell me no lager. What was your outcome of not having your spouses support for hour elective plastic surgery?

  • I don't expect best answer for this one :) But I say your being crazy and selfish! $16,000 on your physical appearance? How about you stop going for the easy way out and exercise and lose the access skin? Do you know how much one semester of college costs? Right now at WMU I pay around 5-$6,000 dollars a semester. My husband and I struggle now for what will eventually pay off later but with college costs that high now, what do you think your kids can expect to pay? I'm sure you all are home owners with a morgage to be paid, car loans, student loans? And your worried about your body? Give me a break, I would divorice you if you spent that much on yourself without the support of the whole family! If you wish to remain married, I would think twice about what your doing.

You are earning this money and it will enhance your appearance which will benefit him as well. This is your life and it's not selfish to want to be the best you can. You can't exercise off skin,so any excess is here to stay. Yes, it's a lot of money ,but an investment in yourself.
