Which is a better guitar amp? (URGENT) Roland, Marshall etc...?
Please give me your advice on a amp for a guitar ( electric ) that is best suited for home usage. Please take in consideration that I live in a apartment surrounded by houses so I don't want something too strong, loud etc. All I want is quality functions , sound and overall a good amp. Which is better of the following, Roland CUBEx15 15watt amp, Marshall MG15DFX 15watt amp or the Ibanez TBX15R 15watt amp.
THANKS for helping me out. :-)

They're all pretty comparable, especially when it comes to output (15 watt solid state, 8" speakers that I imagine will be fairly equivalent, etc...). The Roland has distortion, the Ibanez has reverb, the Marshall has various time-based effects - if that's a factor. Since they're all solid state, there is no issue of having to turn them up to a certain saturation point. The sound of each should be roughly the same with the volume on 3 as on 10.
Tone would be a matter preference, but I don't imagine there's too huge difference between them.
I don't know. None are particularly good/"quality" amps, but all will do what you need them to do. If the only issue is volume, you could get a better amp and an attenuator to go with it. Of course, that would bring the price up.
EDIT: Someone below said a 30 watt would be "twice the punch". That's not true. Double the wattage does not mean double the volume. For an amp to be twice as loud (all other things the same - speaker size and efficiency, number of speakers, amp circuitry, etc...), it would need 10 times the wattage. So to get twice as loud as a 15W amp, you'd need a 150W amp. A 30 watt amp would only get you a *tiny* bit louder, and loud doesn't seem like what you're going for, anyway.

Man, I can't help but laugh when people start talking about how great Marshall is when the Marshall in question is a freakin' solid state MG that has absolutely nothing to do with real Marshall tube amps that the Marshall reputation was built on. The Roland is the better of these 3. But I would choose the Fender Mustang I over the Roland. And no, a 30 watt is not "twice the punch" of a 15 watt. There is barely even a noticeable difference in the volume. A 150 watt is twice the volume of a 15 watt.

Personally, Marshall and that's all I can say about that.
Now, if you're looking at buying the 15 watt new, consider stepping up to the 30 watt MG series, buy one used and it's gonna be twice the punch for the same $$$$. But you'll not regret it and you'll need headphones for an apt either way :)

All I can say is that I have a Marhsall MG15, it's treated me pretty good for the 6 years I've had it. Don't use it anymore though. Doesn't disappoint me.
