Pepsi "Throwback" vs. Coke "Throwback"...?
The geniuses in my house have been requesting throwback soda...I, as a healthfood nut, don't drink or buy soda as a rule, but as a special request I decided I will stock the fridge.
I am, however, slightly concerned about the large amounts of sugar and cocaine in these soft drinks. Which multinational company should I support, and is this the same stuff we used to drink back in the 70's?
(You youngsters who weren't around then can move along to the next question LOL)
Opinions/advice appreciated!

I do like the taste of Mexican Coke better, which like the throwbacks uses sugar, not corn syrup. But if you're looking for health benefits, forget it. Scientific consensus is that sugar isn't significantly healthier than high fructose corn syrup. Soft drinks are crap, health-wise. Even the diet ones.

They dont have cocain in it. Pepsi throwback is way cheaper because you can buy a 12 pack of cans. To get the old school Coke, you have to buy those glass bottles at a Latin store or ethnic food section. Around Passover, you can get a 2 liter bottle of Kosher Coke for the same price as regular Coke and its made with sugar. You can tell its kosher by the yellow cap.

Well, coke hasn't had cocaine for nearly a century, so no worry there. They don't have any more sugar than the current batch of destructive sodas I would think. Can't you at least find some local cola to buy and support neither of these two?

Lol, there isn't cocaine in these drinks. Throwback means sugar not corn syrup. There hasn't been cocaine in these drinks since the 20's. It's funny how I didn't notice when they changed it over but I can tell the difference between the two now.

I could have sworn that the coke was out of coke in like the twenties....but I'm in Canada, could be different time lines....
Meh, it doesn't bother me. It's a well known fact Tim Horton's puts crack in their double doubles, the only way to explain a drive thru line 30 cars deep for average coffee....

I'm just here to tell you that you're safe from cocaine being in soda. It's not in there anymore...
