The freak show here at Y/A Politics is pretty good.

I never miss Meet the Press and Face the Nation.

@Your swing Vote!: That's too dang funny!

    EDIT

I forgot about Sorkin's new show, The Newsroom on HBO. It isn't news but it's an excellent look at the news business. A news team at a fictitious news network is trying to rework prime time news back into something useful. They use real events from the recent past and report them in a way that makes me say "I'd start watching the news again if they reported like that." It's on Sunday nights.

All media news shows are bullshit. FOX is obviously going to have a right-wing slant while MSNBC, CNN, and the rest will have a left-wing leaning. These views discredit the stations.

It's best to do your own research and actually read bills and proposals from the politicians.

It depends if you are left or right or even center like me. Since you out of hand dismiss Fox you are missing out on Red Eye which is great. Other than that, I like The Colbert Report.

    Jacob you must be kidding

"the best man on TV is Fareed Zakaria"

he was just suspended for plagiarism. Time, CNN, and The Washington Post have all suspended him.

Fox News Sunday gets my vote as best news show

I would have to say... None.

By eliminating FOX you dive deep into the abyss of liberalism from which any other point of view seems foreign and strange. Your only hurting yourself (and the country by extention) by doing so.

most of them are pretty useless, and are marketed as some kind of entertainment....Real Time with Bill Maher, Meet The Press, And Hannity (sorry, FOX) are the best I can come up with I suppose.

yep, fox news sunday, sorry all you libtards who think its hannity opinion shows 24/7 on there, it's not. chris wallace is a mega-liberal but carries himself as a journalist should and doesn't show it. hannity and the like are opinion shows and don't pretend to be news unlike everything else on nbc, cbs, abc, cnn, msnbc, etc. you guys been watching nothing but liberal media all your lives so when you see something thats not you think it's a crazy-***, far right, make ron reagan look like the liberal he use to be channel.

The Thom Hartmann Show. DemocracyNow! FSTV.

PBS is pretty moderate. 'Foreign Policy' Magazine.

Believe it or not, Christian Science Monitor is good.

NPR has become 100% fluff and/or conservative/pro-growth DINO.

If you want comedy mixed with some occasional insight then I recommend the Daily Show.

If you want insight mixed with some occasional comedy, then I recommend the Rachel Maddow show.

Nothing daily. The NRA went after him recently and got him a little but don't let it fool you...the best man on TV is Fareed Zakaria.

Absolutely pathetic thumbs down. Zakaria is amazing.
