Gun ban would protect more than 2,200 firearms...?
Is this how a gun ban must be sold to the public? Is this the only way our media can spin this in order to anti-venom the concept of ban?
5 AnswersOther - Politics & Government8 years ago(Ref Shootings) Why is there no conversation in the media about our failed mental health system?
Why are we limiting firearms and not focusing on mental health issues that both Aurora and Connecticut shootings involved? This is the actual problem. I don't see that restricting them from law abiding citizens can do anything but create more victims. This, on top of the fact that most of those in the media have no clue what a "assault rifle" sold to the general public in the U.S. actually is. We need to get nuts off the street. Not guns. If a nut wants a gun he will find one as we have seen. We need to reduce the number of nuts. Our mental health system is a sorry excuse for a public service thanks to the ACLU. As we bounce mentally ill people between jail, local hospital (that kicks them out asap), and walking amongst the public until they run out of meds or refuse to take them. And we say nothing about it. Nothing. 90% of the conversation is about guns. Inanimate objects. No talk about why these nuts were wondering, untreated. Or why it was so difficult for the mother to get him into a facility for help. Anyone ever think this might be a problem? These two individuals needed help. Only one got it but had to be jailed in order to get it and hes still not quite right. Thats not the way to fix our problem today.

8 AnswersCurrent Events8 years agoSo, days before the election, two programs are scheduled to air...?
National Geographic is set to air Seal Team Six: The raid on Osama Bin Laden. NBC is scheduling a benefit concert for victims of Sandy. Interesting is the timing of the Seal Team Six release to say the least. All it may be missing is the title: How I killed Bin Laden. And as for the concert, I truly hope that this is not politicized and transformed into a self serving Obamamercial we are so familiar with, the likes of the 2008 campaign but judging from who is highlighting it appears it very well may be. So here is the question: Will voters see through this if it turns out that both are just that? I hope it does not stoop to that as an all new low for politics.

Now. My Grandfathers military records were destroyed in the 1973 fire at the main records holding facility in St. Louis, Missouri. Where else might be a good place to find this information? For free?

3 AnswersMilitary10 years agoWhat purpose do these actions serve?
Here is a prime example of liberals using tragedy for the purpose of forwarding an agenda. In all of the media this week, and all the commentary of how this issue is being used, these writers have the gall to do this anyway? Just when I thought wiser minds were rising to the top of the popular media lately, and some sense of logic and personal responsibility might possibly have shown up after years of... status quo. What purpose do stories like this serve other than to remove individual liberties, freedoms, in exchange for a small amount of temporary safety.
4 AnswersOther - Politics & Government1 decade agoWhere can a person buy stocks ?
Seriously, where can a person buy stock in a company. I invest my money in just a few. I'm not trading every day. Just want to buy the stock and hold onto it for the long term. Seems every broker or company (E-Trade or Scottrade) may very well suck the life from this style of investing like a parasite.
Any suggestions? Or am I wrong about the two I mentioned?
Just a little background... I just closed out an investment account with my local bank after finding a none activity fee of $40 had been charged along with a $12 service fee. They then sold off 4 of my Ford stock to pay for these. All my fault for assuming this long term investment would never be touched, therefore I never looked too much at the monthly statements. Just the bottom line. Had I not even done that, In years the investment would

Should anyone devote their life to service in politics? If so, what effect will this have on that persons state of mind. How they perceive themselves and how they perceive their role as a politician?

Due to his latest outrageous remarks, I consider a threat to national security (but that's just me). How can he be removed from office?

16 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoAt what point could a sitting President be considered a threat to national security?
Clearly, the individual would have been voted into office by the people. At least that is how it is supposed to work, no matter the levels of media bias and blind support the candidate may have had at the time. But, who would be held responsible for making a claim that the elected Presidents policies, perspectives, connections, lack of experience, lack of broad focus on national issues, or just plain direction could be considered a threat to our national security?
What a broad spectrum of damaging ramifications would result. Yet, who holds that responsibility to say, things are just plain wrong?
7 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoHave we hard enough of the Sham Obama today?
If it takes this much media coverage on a Sunday to convince the population of support for his idea, doesn't it stand to reason that there is a problem with it? We have all grown up in the commercial world learning that if it sounds too good to be true, it is.
This whole idea needs to be scrapped and allow the people to solve this. Not the government. That is not their job. Please people, open your eyes.

Should it be the media's resposability to look into and report to us what this is about? Where are they? What connections to Obama, ACORN or anything else?
Where is the media coverage on this? If it truly is as I see it, this thing can destroy this country.
