How can Barney Frank be removed from office?

With the momentum generated by Scott Brown's historic win, I think a strong candidate might have a shot at removing Barney the Big Purple Senator from office... I have no doubt Senator-Elect Brown will gladly help the right candidate knock Frank off the wall...

First of all, the premise of your question is wrong. Foley was NOT "removed from power". He resigned when he got word that more explicit im's/emails were out there. But about the difference between Foley and Barney Franks in general: No matter what you believe about the homosexual lifestyle.. personally I disapprove of it... Barney Franks has not done anything deemed inappropriate or borderline illegal.

He needs to be voted out, in order to be removed from office.

All hope is not lost though- Frank's congressional district voted Scott Brown into the US Senate. Perhaps the tide is turning away from Barney as well.

Same way Brown beat Coakley. Let a real hardworking American citizen go up against him and people will make the right choice. Barney Frank is the dumbest, and most dangerous member of Congress and he needs to be fired.

You're hysterical, he's right. They changed the rules to make it easier to override the filibuster, but they ALSO made it easier to filibuster -- you no longer have to stand up in the Senate.

So, in effect, every bill needs 60 votes to pass. That's NOT the intent, it's supposed to be a majority vote -- 51.
