Hebrew isn't a race. Jews are a ethnoreligious group, making a ethnicity, a nation, a people. Not a race. Alll Jews that are born Jewish through the mother or have converted correctly are G-d's "chosen people". The term Jew came during the babylonian exile from 576BC to about 500BC. It is slang for the tribe of Judah (since most Jews are from Judah with exception to Levites and Kohanim), which was the bulk of those remaining after the Babylonian exile. The rest have been dispersed in the Assyrian exile around 789BC.

only those who have the same faith as Abraham, Isaac and Jacob as this is the what the Lord G-d said. "I am the God of Abraham Issac and Jacob" So atheist Jews or those who set up abortion clinics I doubt would have the same faith as Abraham. Can anyone see Abraham being an athiests or setting up abortion clinics? And where they not chosen because God made covenant with Abraham and that the Redeemer would come from among them?
