Xabi Alonso. He's a good passer, indeed. Seriously he was better when he was with liverpool. He tried shooting from a distance. Then he came to Madrid and stopped doing that. I must say he kind of sucked for me at that point. But last European Cup has changed him. He was phenomenal on the tournament. Him and Iniesta carried the Spain team to glory. So in the end. My answer to you is. As you get older and get more experience you are able to see things before someone younger than you, but sometimes you misuse that and that's what Xabi did, but now he's back on track.

Source(s): I am one of the biggest fans of Madrid.

    Nah. He's consistently a beast.

Xabi Alonso was just as good this year as he was in 2010.

He's been the same. The only thing that has changed is his shooting and direct goals. He doesn't shoot from long distance as frequently or effectively as he did at Liverpool. Plus, he scores little less which is understandable really.
