Suzuki Gs450l electrical power problems?

Ok, i have a fully charged battery connected to my motorcycle.

But before i replace it, i had let my bike sit in the rain approximately 4 times in the past month or two.

I replaced spark plugs, oil, oil filter, battery and rebuilt carbs because they were dirty.

When i connect my battery, i turn the ignition and none of my lights or gauges light up. The starter button doesnt work either. I checked the ignition switch for a faulty connection but there wasnt one because the wire connectors were protected from being installed inside the headlight. So when i try and turn it over with the switch, i get nothing, but when i cross the terminals with a screwdriver it cranks very good, but i get no spark, even when i ground the spark plug. The battery is completely perfect. I have compression and air/fuel, i just need spark. I am unable to get any of the electronics working on the bike but i am still able to cross terminals and crank the bike.

Need a quick fix before school starts, which is in 5 days.

Your knowledge and help is much appreciated.

-Anthony

Update:

When i say cross terminals, i mean the positive and negaative(ground) terminals that lead to the battery.

Update 2:

You don't mention fuses. There is usually ONE master fuse to the fuse box that then feeds 5 or 6 other fused circuits. Trace the power feed wire from the battery to the fuse box and look for the master fuse. It may be separate from the main fuse box. There are usually 2 wires off of batt plus. One to the starter relay and the other to the main electrical system. Since you can get the starter to turn by jumping it that circuit is ok. Rain might have shorted something out blowing fuse(s).

have you ever checked/replaced the carb inlet stub rubbersand jubilee cilps?continually my first check out component.and that i see no point out of ballancing the carbs, professional rebuild or no longer, they nonetheless want installation dynamically. besides, take off the air container and manifold so which you would be able to look down the carb bores, might want a mirror, and initiate off it up till warm, greater than a number of of the carb slides would be lifted larger, that'll be the only dragging the others up,you may get a pencil with an eraser on the top down the intake bore and manually pull the slide backpedal yet there is no replace for a set of vacuum gauges, professional rebuilds are performed on the bench yet each and every cylinder attracts a diverse vacuum so that they could be set to the comparable draw by the screw/locknut on the perfect suited, you cant pass any greater advantageous with out this try/setup,common.
