Question for anyone that has had a tooth extracted?
I'm wondering how long it normally takes for the pain to go away.
I had a molar extracted on Tues - it was cracked in half and infected, and took an hour and a half for them to dig it all out (it didn't want to leave)
But today I'm still in So much pain. I was hoping that after 48 hours of anti biotics and pain meds would be enough to at least Start to feel better, but it's still worse than it was Before I got it pulled.
So, anyone else that's had a tooth extracted, how long did it take to start feeling better?

It hurts because it was hard to get out (the root). This is only the 2nd day-give it another day or 2. Then if you are still in pain, call the dentist. Also, the fact it was infected takes a little longer.

I got my wisdom teeth out in february. The first day, I literally could not eat OR drink anything because everything below my nose was still numb. The second, third, and fourth day I drank milkshakes, ice cream, soup, and eventually moved onto soft foods. Day 5 and 6 I would eat crackers and bread. After a week I was fine. I was only in pain though for days 2&3.

idk whats wrong. maybe cause of the infection. i had an extracted and they pulled it, and i never felt any pain even after. the proscribed me some pain killers and i was good. i would go back to them to see if its healing correctly.
