How many hours a week are foreign students doing a English Language Course allowed to work in Australia ???

What jobs do foreign students mostly do in Australia ? Is there any factory work available? Like picking up things from the moving chain and packing them etc ..

How much is the fee per semester for the English Language Course ..

They're allowed to work for up to 40 hours per fortnight while their course is in session and unlimited hours during official course breaks. 40 hour per fortnight means that if they for example, work for 10 hours in one week, they can work for 30 hours the following week if they wish, to do so. The 40 hours/fortnight rolls from week to week and applies to any 2 week period - in my example, they could only work for up to 10 hours in the 3rd week. All of this applies to the primary holder of any Student visa, even one that is only an English course.

http://www.immi.gov.au/students/students/570-4/ ELICOS course for an Assessment Level 4 student. See 'What does this visa let me do?'

Foreign students typically work in food and drink service jobs, fast food, as console operators in service stations, drive cabs etc. There is not much unskilled factory work available for anyone and even less for part time or casual workers.

The course cost per semester is usually around $7000 - $8000.

http://cricos.deewr.gov.au/Course/CourseSearch.asp... CRICOS course database. Search on ELICOS under Course name.

It depends on the nature of the visa they're on. Yes, there are labouring, factory, hospitality and office jobs available. The cost of an English language course depends on which institution you study with.

I are living in QLD Australia and i've not ever been referred to as by using a callcentre or referred to as them and spoken with someone with an Aussie accent!!! The ones that cal me are continuously Indian or pakastani or appears many are Canadian. It really does not look to topic if you could even speak english. You'll don't have any main issue getting work!
