Why is Allah thought of as male?
Why is Allah thought of as male if "he" is the creator of all things? Doesn't that sound more like a feminine quality? So is Allah actually male, female, or does he have no gender?

The term 'gender' can not be applied to almighty Allah because Allah (SWT) is not a biological entity.

As far as I understand 'he' is the best word available in human vocabulary to 'point' to something that is definitely not of a 'feminine' nature, while at the same time not always necessarily of a 'masculine' nature as well.
If that is not the case, why do we at times use a 'he' or a 'she' to refer to the sun and the moon or a particular star?.
If a 'he' or a 'she' should only refer to 'gender' issues, how than are we to explain the usage of the word ' he' or 'she' used to refer to the sun, the moon, and the star, which otherwise would mean they have gender's too?
So, when we refer to the One God, we also say 'He' to point the fact that the One God is for sure not 'feminine' ,and while in writing, we uniquely use the capital 'H' instead of 'h', whether in the beginning or in between sentences, for the reader to 'distinctively' understand that it refers to the only God Who is also not necessarily of a 'masculine' nature.
Hope that helps.

“Allah Almighty is beyond any conceivable picture that may be in mortals’ minds. This is based on the hadith of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): “Whatever comes to your mind regarding physical characteristics or attributes befitting mortals, Allah is far Exalted above that and that does not express the real concept of Allah.”

God isn't human, God is neither male nor female
It's why we prefer to call God "Allah", because unlike the word "God" you can't make into female (Goddess)
Allah is above having a gender, I'm not sure why we say "he" but Allah is not a man or a human

Were you born in the 90's or later ?.
I forgot the correct term but since the dawn of time you use the masucline form when gender doesnt matter. He , him, man....etc. this " him or her ( or they)"....Is a waste of time. Its been pushed more in the last 20 years for political correctness but that's about it.
God has no gender....not human....not physical or material.

Probably no gender. However in the Qur'an it uses the ha (letter) when speaking of possessions / indirect objects. However the ha is used in place of it often.
For example (in classical Arabic)
ﺍﻧﺎ ﺣﺒﺘﻪ can mean "I loved him or I loved it."

I cant say about Allah muhammed's version of God but basic english is here i.e refering to an entity as "he" doesnt neccesarilly denote it's sex for example when I say that 'if a customer comes to my shop, let him sit here"now in this case I dont know the sex of customer yet to come but "he word" is applicable in this scenario but the moment Isay "she" it implies female by default-Now connect the dots.

Allah has no gender because he is not human. Allah swt is beyond our imagination but He is used because of his authority over us.

Only a male, and not a good one, would allow ownership of women and sanction the rape of those captives (Quran 33:50, 4:24). Only a male, a twisted one, would have a mess of virgins and pearl-like boys in his "paradise" (Quran 52:24 for example). Only a male, a misogynist, would give men the right to hit women (Quran 4:34).

Probably, the reason is the same as with God. As Ambrose Bierce said, "God created man in His own image. Man, being a gentleman, returned the favor."
