So the courts in my sons fathers small town outside of Sacramento granted him a temporary order. we attended mediation and now tomorrow we have a court date. what are the odds of me walking away with custody? My attorney has been in the business for 35 years and he's pretty sure well win. my sons father has no representation . will the judge cut him slack? He also has a criminal history and I do not.

Custody is usually decided based on who can provide a stable, safe and nurturing environment for the child. It's doesn't matter who has the most expensive attorney. And unless the child's father is abusive or neglectful, he should at least get visitation.

Ther's no reason why you wouldn't win. Partial custody between the 2 parents are 80% of the cases.
