Any improvement in the drought situation on your farm?

I asked about a month ago, how many of you were experiencing the drought. In central Wisconsin we have had about 2 and 1/2 inches of rain in august. It is still very dry here; the corn is a mess, hay fields not producing any more cuttings. Looks like this old farmer is going to have to seek some off the farm employment :(

Update:

(Delta) Why do some people consider it there right to add such as-sine answers to a serious question??

Yes, we've gotten a few inches of rain since then, it made for a non-impressive 3rd cutting, but at least we had something. If the heat comes back we may even get a 4th, which is uncommon in my area of MI, although go south about 40 miles or so it's often expected. The rain came about the time the corn was pollinating, so we should still have a crop there too. Everything's nice and green again, and mowed my lawn for the first time in over a month.

Yes, near Nashville that past month or so is helping a lot.

Corn will still not be as good as it would need to be to be more than minimally viable, the rain just came to late.

We mainly raise hay for horses, and our first harvest (may) was good, next one got very little (10 rolls when it should be 80 or 90), third we bush-hogged (mowed down), 4th (and probably last) looks like it will be good again. ... If we didn't already have some stored, we would be buying hay for our (40) horses.

Infact, yes. Despite there being no rain I have found that using human baby hearts as a makeshift fertilizer compensates for it.
