Olympics question...?

How many foreigners have been given green cards in America so they can represent the US at the olympics?

**EDIT...how many have been given Citizenship, rather than green cards.

    If I'm not mistaken, green cards are issued to resident aliens. By definition, they are not citizens. Only citizens represent a country in the Olympics.

    So I believe the answer must be zero.

    *The only way a person is 'given' citizenship, is if they serve in the military. I'm not sure, but they may have to have served in active duty, such as war.

    'Al' is correct. That number is zero.

    OTOH there have been people who have successfully immigrated to the US, because they proved that they are professional level athletes, and can be guaranteed of supporting themselves.
