My laptop won't connect to the Internet. Any ideas?

For some reason my laptop is the only one in my house that can't connect to the Internet. My phone an my iPod can get wifi and it works well on my desktop too. I know that sometimes I accidentally switch off the wireless button (since its so fragile and always seems to move fairly easily) but I checked right now and it's on so I'm not sure what the problem is? I know I haven't changed the settings on my laptop because it was working fine last time I used which was like two days ago..it just starting acting up this time as soon as I turned it on. It says it can find my wifi but it won't connect??

Also, I have a Sony Vaio that I just got last year if that helps. Help please! This is sort of frustrating! Lol

Update:

Okay so I restarted it and still no luck. It still says 'No Internet Access'. I don't know why it's doing this.

Restart it and see if the wireless picks up. Especially after the switch was turned off while the computer was on. Yes they should work perfectly but they rarely do.

the setting are off in the operating system

are your using windows operating system?

you have to establish a home network connection

under control panel choose network and internet connection

look and see what default network connection is

    look at network connections

you should have a connection for your wireless

if not you can create one by using

    setup a wireless network

if the connection is okay then your wireless is not working properly
