How high do you think my horse can jump?
I have a 15.1hh QH. She isn't a very stocky QH, acctually a more lean and long legged one. She is very strong a really smart. Any idea on how high she can jump?
She is 4 years old so I won't be doing high jumps now, smaller ones. But just for future refrence. I think she will mature at 15.2.

It really depends on if she can really jump at all. It is extremely dangerous
to set up a 3ft jump and assume your horse can do it. If she is in good
health (fit, no arthritis, etc) then I can say safety, 2'6". How old also ? If she
is young, (under 4), she may have difficulty jumping anything higher than
2ft. If she is over 20, then don't push 2ft also.
Start off with 1ft, work up to 18in, 2ft, 2'6"... I wouldn't push 3ft for a QH. Not
saying they can't jump, I have one, I've owned quite a few and I know that
3ft is kind of the max for an average QH. Mind you, my horse is stocky lol.
Anyways, work up the jumps slowly. Keep exercising your mare to keep her
fit for jumping.
An idea - you can try free jumping first.

Most horses like yours can up to 3 feet, even more. My horse is a stocky Haflinger so she couldn't jump that high, but a smart horse, with strong long legs should be able to jump higher. Good Luck!
