Completeing the Square Help?

My problem is:

9x^2-y^2-18x-6y-9=0

I need to get it into this equation (x-h)^2/a^2 - (y-k)^2/b^2=1

I know a few steps:

9x^2-y^2-18x-6y-9=0

9x^2-18xy^2-6y=9

9(x^2-2x)-(y^2+6y)=9

And then I get stuck. I know I'm supposed to get it to:

9(x^2-2x+1) - (y^2+6y+9)=9+9-9

next, but I don't know how

Any help on this problem would be very appreciated

    9(x^2-2x)-(y^2+6y)=9

    9(x^2 -2x+__) - (y^2 +6y + __) =9 +9(__ ) -(__ )

you complete the square by adding half the b term then squaring it

    9(x^2 -2x+1) - (y^2 +6y +9) =9 +9(1) - (9)

    9(x-1)^2 -(y+3)^2 =9+9-9 =9

    (x-1)^2 -(y+3)^2/9 =1
