The search bar on safari is gone?
so i was on safari and all of a sudden the search bar and stuff went away! how do i get it back? the top of the window when i open safari is smaller and only has my bookmarks. no place to enter in website addresses. what do i do???
there is absolutely NOTHING to search things. so i can't search anything or get to any websites unless i already bookmarked them

You must have been updated to the latest version of Safari.
You don't need a separate search bar anymore... Just type your searches AND website URLs/addresses directly into the single space that is there. Good luck.

Well, let's figure out if you have the latest version of Safari (which doesn't require a separate search bar) or whether you still have the old version of Safari and have really lost the search bar:
1. First of all, try typing something you want to search for in the main window. For example: Syria.
Does that give you a bunch of google search results? If not, do this next thing...
2. Put your mouse at the top of a window. Then hold down "control" and click at the same time. A window should open. Choose "customize toolbar." Then look at the bottom of the next window that opens. Click on the part of the window where "address and search" is. Hold your finger down and drag it into the toolbar.

That actually is the instructions, no idea why it wouldn't work. Try Preferences > Toolbar if that makes a difference.
