I talk about it openly with people I know, but I probably wouldn't just randomly talk to a stranger about it, haha! I'd say I'm more open when I talk to girls, just because they understand more. But I do sometimes talk about it with boys if it comes up in conversation. It's nothing to be ashamed of, it's a completely natural process, yet there's still kind of a right and wrong time to talk about it. I wouldn't just start blabbering about it at the dinner table, just like someone wouldn't talk about poop (hopefully...!). Haha! :P

Many women and girls don't really talk about their periods openly. It's like a personal matter that only a few need to talk about. However, when I was in my late teens, I needed to alert my mother something was wrong when I menstruated and how long it took me to have one. Whenever I needed to talk to my mother about something, my late father told me he didn't want to hear anything about periods or problems. So my period problem was actually kept in the dark even if I went to my family physician for help, they'd always tell me that I'll be regular later since I was in my teens. I never had a normal period until I was diagnosed with having PCOS in my mid-20s and when my mother found out, I think she was shocked and asked why I didn't tell her anything. I told her I tried. So, now my period's actually on time for the first time in years.

So some women or teens are told to keep quiet or only talk to your doctor if you've got a problem. Keeping quiet isn't a good thing when you need to be listened to. People just don't want to hear it. A period is a normal bodily function. It's necessary for life really despite how dirty and smelly it is. It's just the way we're made.

I only do with my absolute best friend (who is also a girl) but with anyone else, I dont. But I go to an all girls school and some girls will run down the hallways asking anyone and anybody for a tampon.

Well some people arent comfortable with talking about blood and bleeding because in most cases its considered vulgar to talk about personal hygiene

I am very open about sex and sexual pleasures whereas i only talk to girlfriends about my period not men

    Hope this helped :)

Ya. That's because there's blood involved. The secret, feminine, secret is that nobody bleeds or has a bad hair day but it just isn't true.

And we all smell like cinammon rolls and fart pink balloons. And we never burp, scracth ourselves, fart, or take a dump. mm.....we're never sick, we love to cook, clean, and give birth....and we always, always, ALWAYS, love our boyfriends or husbands.... Yup.
