"Jews", why did you fail to teach the gentiles to keep the God's 4th commandment?

now you have a world full of "christians" disobeying God and worshipping the beast (pope/catholic church) because of your failure.

Ten Reasons why the Sabbath is not Jewish

http://www.whitehorsemedia.com/articles/?d=85#.UDa...

The other nine commandments are not "just for Jews." God wrote "Ten Commandments" on stone, not just nine (See Deut. 4:12, 13; Ex. 20). Does "Do not commit adultery," "Do not murder," "Do not steal," and "Do not bear false witness" apply only to Jews?

The Sabbath commandment is for the "stranger" too. The fourth commandment itself says the "stranger" is to rest on the Sabbath. Exodus 20:10. "Strangers" are non-Jews, or Gentiles. Thus the Sabbath applies to them too. Read also Isaiah 56:6.

"All" mankind will keep the Sabbath in the New Earth. In "the new earth ... from one Sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, says the Lord." Isaiah 66:22, 23. Here God says that "all flesh" we will be keeping the Sabbath in "the new earth." If this is the case - and it is - shouldn't we start now?

Update:

@Solly Llama NOR★CAL R&S, God's 10 commandments and the Law of Moses are not the same thing, 2 different laws, read your bible properly!

Update 2:

@Kevin, God made no such change, the Pope did, read the Catechism!.

Update 3:

if god changed it, why would he tell the whole wotld "remember the sabbath-day, to keep it holy"? why would he tell everyone to remember if it was changed?

Update 4:

if God changed it, why would he tell the whole world to "remember the sabbath-day, to keep it holy"? why would he tell everyone to remember if it was changed?

Update 5:

@Kevin, give me scriptural proof to where Paul and Jesus didn't keep the Sabbath? last time i read the bible, they did.

Update 6:

if the Sabbath-day is done away with, how come God said we are keeping it in heaven? (statement above), explain that to me lol

Jews have zero control over what Christians do or believe -- obviosly given that Jews have never even been able to convince them to simply be nice to Jews.

Probably because of this line: Colossians 2:16-17 16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: 17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ. I even used the King James, which I usually avoid. What do Christians get from this passage? That the keeping of sabbath days, along with the jewish prohibitions on types of meat or drink (Kosher) was something that was merely a 'shadow' of what is to come through Christ, and once Christ comes, we should not stare at the shadows, but at the Light.

God didn't say anything, and neither did god do anything. There is no god. It's all the work of people, and people are subject to the 'sin' of acting for convenience, or gain of some sort, be it financial, political or social. The very fact that questions of this sort crop up is proof positive that there is no 'divine' influence at work. If there was god, we would all know. Without and doubt whatsoever, It would simply be too big a deal for anyone to NOT know or have doubts of any kind.

At what point should Jews have done so?

Just prior to the Visigoth enslavement?

the day before the expulsion from Greece/ Spain/ France....

just as the sticks caught fire on the Autodefay?

just before the Cossacks evicerated them?

    There are 613 Commandments

    www.aish.com/jl/m/48945081.html

The 10 Statements were NEVER given to the gentiles.

These 7 Laws WERE given to the Gentiles:

    * To behave justly in all relationships, and to establish courts of justice.

    * To refrain from blaspheming G*d's name.

    * To refrain from practicing idolatry.

    * To avoid immoral practices, specifically incest and adultery.

    * To avoid shedding the blood of ones fellow man.

    * To refrain from robbing ones fellow man.

    * To refrain from eating a limb torn from a live animal.

    www.okbns.org

G*D, Noachidism and Judaism teach if you keep these 7 laws you will have an equal share in the world to come.

  • The 10 Commandments are not for non-Jews is why. That's what the Noahide laws are for.

ADD:The 10 Commandments are directed at the Children of Israel. The Gentiles are not expected to follow them.

It is not the Jews who failed, but those who have been deceived into making the holy day the first day.

Have you ever heard of the Sh'ma?

***HEAR, O ISRAEL: THE HaShem OUR GOD, THE HaShem IS ONE. 5 And thou shalt love HaShem thy G-d with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. 6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be upon thy heart; 7 and thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thy house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.***

    http://www.breslov.com/bible/Deuteronomy6.htm#1

I think the 10 commandments are great...but unlike you, Moses didn't think they were the most important.

***36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”

37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[c] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[d] 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” ***

    http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthe...

And as you see, Jesus agrees with Moses and not you since He said that ***All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments***. So you understand, obeying the Sabbath is part of what God commands...and

***11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.***

    http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20co...

So Paul agrees with Moses and Jesus. They don't make the cornerstone the Sabbath as you have done even though all would agree it is important. No, to them, love is the cornerstone.

***If I speak in the tongues[a] of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast,[b] but do not have love, I gain nothing.*** http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20co...

Paul defines worship in 1 cor 12 - 1 cor 14 where 1 cor 13 (the love chapter) not only interupts but is defined as the central focus of worship...not the Sabbath.

If we were flying an airplane and love was the right wing and the Sabbath was the left, please don't ask me to fly without both.

As John said, ***7 Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. 9 This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. 10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. 11 Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12 No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

13 This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit. 14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. 15 If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God. 16 And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.

God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. 17 This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus. 18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

19 We love because he first loved us. 20 Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. 21 And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister. ***
