It depends what type of charged particle it is, and its kinetic energy - many reactions are possible.
Charge can only be gained or lost in whole units of 'e' (elementary charge).
E.g. positron collides with neutron:
positron + neutron -> proton + antineutrino
is one possible reaction .

No, a neutron cannot absorb "some charge". In fact it cannot absorb any charge and still be a neutron.
I believe it's possible for the neutron to scatter the charged particle (change its velocity), because although the neutron has a _net_ neutral charge, internally it has charges, and at close range the effects of those can be "felt" by charged particles.
