What is an independent and dependant variable?
I have to create a line graph for the relationship between circumference and diameter of a cylinder and a question is what is the independent variable and what is the dependent variable. It's a straight line and I know the independent variable is the manipulating variable and the dependent is the manipulated but I don't know how that applies to this relationship

Usually the one you plot on the horizontal axis is the independent and the one you plot on the vertical axis is the dependent. So put diameter on the horizontal and call it the independent.
