I just want to be happy. Can anyone give me some advice on how to enjoy life?
I'm not suicidal or depressed right now. sometimes i am but not lately. But I still have this feeling of being defeated. I can't seem to feel happy or excited about stuff. The things that used to make me happy, like music, food, friends, and video games, all failed me on the enjoyment scale. Whats going on? I just mope around and I force my self to do things but I get no type of enjoyment out of anything. nothing is entertaining me. I'm constantly bored, and constantly worried, It like I don't want to do anything. AT ALL!!! I want to go back to how it used to be. Anyone have any advice they would like to share?

Seems to me like you got in a rut (so to speak) and you just want to get out of it, which seems normal.
Best advice I can personally give, is try new things. Try something artsy like painting, drawing, writing, etc. - Even give something spiritual a try like meditation.
Try and stimulate yourself on many different levels, and keep asking yourself questions. (Keeps the mind sharp, don't ya know!)
Talking peaceful walks through parks and even fields may help you a lot too, and it can be promisingly fun.
Personally I think you may be busy minded, your mind wants more stimulation, it along with your soul wants to experience more then what you are offering right now, your brain loves to learn which is why I suggested something of a new hobby.
Making snap decisions can lead to you getting a boost of happiness too, for an example when you go to shopping, take a stroll through a park on the way back if you are busy minded doing different things on snap decisions stimulates your mind, and taking peaceful walks is the best way to moll things over in a busy mind.

You have done a remarkable job considering what you have been through. You are now in a different place and have not made any friends and you need to have some adult conversation with some adult women. Your children are now in school and they must have some friends. Get together with some of the moms, go next door and meet your neighbors, volunteer (library, hospital, soup kitchen, church). You need to challenge yourself and take yourself out of your comfort zone. You are intelligent enough to see that you need to do something, so just do it and don't think about what may happen............

Try to find something that has more depth than just being 'entertaining' if that makes any sense. The world is so big and full of possibilities and its begging for you to make your OWN mark. Find a passion create art make someone else laugh each day, The more we give to the world the more happy and fulfilled we feel. Be generous and tell someone you love one trait you truly admire in them, they'll be so surprised and happy and their happiness will rub off onto you.
We will all die one day, me you and whoever else answers this question, do you really want to choose to be worried anxious and sour during the short time you have left? (yes i do believe 90 yrs or so of life to be short) the power is completely within you you just have to believe it.
try screaming in the top of your lungs 'I CHOOSE to be HAPPY!' prefereably when no ones in the house.
I know this all sounds lame and pathetic but believe me, we all have something beautiful, creative and fearless inside all of us. Dont let this temporary cloud rob you of any more joy
*I used to be sad all the time for no discernible reasons until I finally realized that it just feels like KRAP to be sad. complete KRAP. so I tried my hardest to fill it with more joy and meaning, this meant changing a LOT of my bad habits though.

Try baking! Cupcakes are really fun to do, you can make your own decorations, be creative and it tastes so good! Share them with your friends/family, they'll love them (as long as you haven't messed something up or they're just weird).
