How much is my laptop worth?

My buddy wants to buy my old MacBookPro off of me. It's got moderate wear from use and slight (VERY SLIGHT) body damage. It's an '06 and I upgraded it to 2 GB of RAM (which was max at the time). It doesn't have a battery and the AC adapter is heavily worn (still works though) but he said he has a new adapter so it didn't matter. I still have all the disks ect. Is $200 a fair price or could I go a bit higher, lower? Internally the computer runs great. Thanks for your suggestions.

Update:

After reading answers, forgot something. The proc is a 2.0 (or 2.22 can't remember) Intel Core Duo.

200 is very fair for that machine if it's the 15 inch 1440x900 model; $250 is fair for the 1680x1050 15 inch model, and $300 is fair for the 17 inch model. You could probably get more for it, but with a Core Duo (32-bit) processor, software limitations from newer programs (Mac software, which already includes OS X Lion and OS X Mountain Lion, is quickly moving to 64-bit code which won't run on that laptop), batteries that cost around $130 to replace, a power adapter that costs about $80 to replace, and being stuck at a 2GB (really 3GB) limit on RAM because of the 945-based chipset and Core Duo processor, you really shouldn't ask for more than 200-300. If it was a Windows laptop, 200-300 would actually be expensive.

    200 is a fair price

considering ALL newer computers come with 4gb as a standard

and probably a way better processor

the battery alone will cost over 100 to replace

properly in case you like it purchase it. If it works great then that is sturdy. acquire IMs and see if that is the same velocity. no rely if that is then purchase it. i could like XP laptops however. Vista is new and not properly suited with a great variety of stuff. that is my opinion.
