How do I talk to strangers?

Lately I've been noticing that I don't know what to say when I'm around people who aren't friends. I usually end up saying stuff like "how is it going?" or "hello" thats about it. Those conversations usually die fast. Is there any good ways to start a good conversation without knowing a person too well? Thanks

Smile and put a lot of friendly-ness into the word hi. Then just begin talking about stuff. You could ask general questions like: What's your name. Do you have a nickname. Do you have any brothers or sisters. What field would you like to go into. And with every question you ask those "strangers" become less and less strangers. Tell them about you-your name, nickname, if you have any brothers/sisters, etc. XD.

Well stay calm don't think about it too much. Over thinking a conversation can make your mind blank out. Ask them questions. If your at school ask about the class they just came from, at a park say something about the weather. Use your surroundings as a guide!

The only thing I can say is when you are in those kind of situations step out of your comfort zone and try to find common ground with the person, like music or maybe any good movies that recently came out. I always find that the more you talk the easier it gets. I hope you find this helpful.

    Person 1: hi

    person 2: hey

person1: how are you doing today? / I'm (your name) its nice to meet you whats your name?/

it should keep going from there it helps not to ask just yes or no questions but ones they might have to explain like if you see them wearing a nice jacket you might say: " cool jacket where did you get it?" ect

try not to be so ya know in there business cuz they may be uncomfortable but just talk to the a little at a time and smile, ppl dont wanna talk to zombies, but be open about yourself dont be shy

Put out your hand, introduce yourself, and be a little curious about the other person. Relax, sometimes lulls in conversation are just fine too!
