When you asked this question, Neil did die the day you asked this question which was Aug. 25, 2012.

Here's a link and if you skim slowly through it, towards the end of the 2nd line, it says how he died.

It also states in the link that he did have surgery, but there was cardiovascular trouble.

I just saw "RIP Neil Armstrong" photo and I searched on google but it said he didn't die yet, but the most recent answer to that question was up in march 2011. So, when and how did he die?

He died an hour ago just following heart surgery. He was 81 at time of death.

He died on August 25th 2012 and it was something to do with his heart is why he died.
