Convicts need 30 gallons minimum a 55 gallon would be better .
Firemouth need a minimum of 30 gallons .
Rams would work in a tank that size or maybe a pair of Kribs .

Convicts need 30+ gallons, so that wouldn't work well. I personally, would NEVER house a convict in anything less than 100 gallons. That's just me.
Firemouths need 30+ gallons as well. You would be better off with a community.
The website in the link helped me with the firemouth tank size.

Both fish can get pretty good sized. If you don't put anything else in with them 1 pair in each tank should be okay.
Are you trying to breed these pairs or just have 2 fish? That could make a difference for them. Check on the requirements for breeding tank size if that is your goal.

no! get gouamis there more colorful plus don't get as big. chiclids need a 75 gallon tank at least because there schooling fish and need lots of room. but the gourami isn't as big plus you can add other fish with gouramis like loaches and cory cats and tetras even mollies. the Opaline get just as big as chiclids too. look them up there cheaper prettier and don't need a big expensive tank and filtration in the tank
