Iv been lookin for a while for actual endlers been to maybe 20 different locations but the ones they have for sale labled "endlers" or "endlers guppys" dont seem to look like actual endlers more guppy than endler

is there anything i should look for in the fish to see if they are endlers and not crosses?

I have breedin pair of kribs i have had them about a year now and they have spawned many times

but now the male and the female seem to have fell out the male really beat her iv only just noticed her as they like to hide alot but she was hiding behind the filter all her tail is gone fins and everythin she in a real state

the male and her are the only fish in the tank

my question is why would they just turn on each other if they have been together so long?

iv removed her from the tank now as treating her for wounds but she dont look none to clever

when she is better again is it a good idea to put her back in the tank with the male ?

i really dont know what happend any ideas?

Ok so i have like 15 guppys 4 adults and the rest we're fry there nearly adults neway i moved them from the breedin set up to there new home the tank is fully cycled and has been for a couple of months ( had tiger barbs in it but rehomed them ) and now they are startin to die? i tested the water its pretty much perfect same as the tank they was in ph 7.6 ammonia 0 nitrite 0 nitrates 5 ppm they was all really healthy and all feedin well before i moved them now 1 of the adult males is lookin really ill a couple of fry have died and i really dont know wot iv done wrong am i missin somthin?

So the tank cracked in the bottom corner i have another tank the same size but not set up it needs a clean how do i remove my kribensis fry parents and tiger barbs to the other tank like should i remove all the sand/decor water filter heater and then bag up the fish and seperate the fry or keep the fry with the parents i have no idea

I think it was a fresh water because it was in the same section as the tetras and guppys

Anyway there was no tag on the tank so dident know the name lol

Its body was the shape of a saltwater angelfish and it was like a brownish colour ummm cant realy remember much eles lol not much to go on i know but its really buggin me

So i woke up this mornin to find my kribensis fry and the mother goin for a roam around the tank

but there is only 5 fry is that normal? there a young breedin pair so this is there first batch

So today me and my family decided it was time to take our dog to get put down he was a 14 year old collie/retriver the most lovin dog you could of ever met but now i feel so bad about doin it i really wish we dident but that would just of been selfish of me right? the problem with him was his back legs was startin to go and he would fall over now and again he could never stand up in time to go to the toilet so would end up peein a little we first noticed this a month ago and we thought well he is gettin on abit so we kept an eye on him he did that only a couple of times after but im guessin because he was old and all he did was lay around all day he just dident have the strenght to do it

As the weeks went on he started doin it more often then last night really got to me i let him out the back to go toilet and the poor thing couldent even hold himself up to have a poo he fell over in it thats when i knew he had to go right? i really dont know if it was the right choice i cant change it now its done and his gone

was i wrong to do it or not i really dont know now :(

Ok so recently i discoverd my kribensis nest and loads of eggs but today they are gone?

the female and the male was diggin pits near the nest is it possible that they moved them there or did they eat them they seem to be hangin around the newly dug area? i dont want to put my hand in and move the rock so i can see because it may disturb them

so no idea if this is normal?

So today i was cleanin the tank and i noticed that the kribensis wouldent leave this one area so i lifted up the top of the cave to find about 200-300 eggs atleast? was kind of shocked as i havent had them very long

So my question is can you tell how old the eggs are? i read that it takes about a week to hatch

then 10days after that they would be free swimmin but i dont have to do anythin as the parents take care of them for 2months untill they are ready to spawn again is that true? or should i provide them with abit more care then i do now?

also as there is so many eggs they all wont hatch right lol because there is no way i can handle that many kribs

sorry if these are stupid questions but iv only ever had guppy fry lol

Tank size for adults and how to care

it just seems so lazy to me

the reason i say this is because i came across this tank on ebay the guy is doin the right thing upgradin but i just think all that could of been avoided

Just doin abit of research for my oscar tank il be gettin soon and just wonderin what a good filter is what do you guys use?

Tank would be about 60 gallons (just 1 single oscar) it may be abit bigger then that not sure yet

Ok so there is a red devil cichlid in this pet store its been there ages like over a year that i know of

its about 9inch but its in such a tiny tank somthin like 18x12x12 everytime i go in his in the same spot and kicked up all the sand in the corner im guessin to give him more room anyway i was just wonderin how long could he live like that would it be worth me gettin him and puttin him in a 30x12x16 until i can get a 55 g or more in a couple of months im mean surely he would be alot happier in a tank of that size and not half it also is £25 abit much for a red devil?

i only ask because everytime i go in he looks so sad and i feel bad and his a pretty impressive lookin red devil

i have 2 25 gallon tanks i want to put a pair of convicts in 1 would that work?

and in the other i have no idea maybe a firemouth? would that work single or pairs if none of them work any suggestions?

I just bought these kribensis and dident realise they was a pair so now when they mate they will be highly terrotorial

Would they be ok in a 25? its the biggest spare tank i have

I read that a 20 is ok and others say 30 so lol in the middle 25?

So today i seen some of these beautys and would like a little more info on them i was thinkin of gettin one or two for my tiger barb and redtailed shark tank it was suggested awhile ago when i was lookin for tank mates but where i live you dont see them often so any info on them like

Do you have to keep them as a pair? and if you do wouldent they be highly terrortorial towards my shark who is about 6inch and really chunky

What kind of set up do they like? lots of plants or more open or just rocks?

And any other info that you think i need to know

Hi i bought some female guppys today because they was really nice lookin and wanted to breed them with my male just to see what the colour would come out like on the offspring anyway in the shop i had a real good look at them before i bought them dident see anythin wrong but when i got them home i had another look while i was puttin them in my tank but saw nothin but as soon as i put them in without the bag there i noticed really small white dots just on the bottom of the females fins so now im not sure if it is ick or thats just how they are iv never had a fish with ick so im not really sure what to look for its not like coverd the whole fin or body its just like 4 or 5 spots scatterd along the bottom iv been researchin and lookin at ick on guppys for hours now and still none the wiser

Should i treat for ick anyway? and if i do and they dont have it would that harm them?

Hi Thanks for looking at my question. the tank at the moment is empty waitin for my substrate and plants to arrive im not goin to put fish in it staight away i was just wonderin could i put a betta in there along with platys? or is there any other kinds that would mix with betta also what kind of filter should i use with a betta? iv never had a betta before so i really dont know. Hi i dont know if it is possible or not but i want to attach java moss to my 3D background but im not sure how i could do it. i thought about maybe staples or clips and stick them in place to hold it but not sure if that would work. any ideas? Thanks guys
