Who should start at PF for the Lakers while Dwight is out?

Pau Gasol will play center while Dwight Howard most likely misses the start of the season. That means the starting power forward position will go to either Jordan Hill or Antawn Jamison.

Antawn Jamison would seem like the obvious choice, but I bet Mike Brown will still bring him off the bench for some firepower and start Jordan Hill instead.

I`ll place Jordan Hill there specifically because I want Jamison to get used to being a 6th man. And I love Hills defense, athleticism and energy that compliments Pau a lot. Nash should be able to give Jordan open and make able shots as long as Jordan is able to play good help defense while Nash collapses defensively. Also once Dwight gets back Hill will come off the bench and can play next to Dwight as possibly the best defensive and athletic PF-C combo. Jamison just needs more time to get used to his role as 6th man because in the playoffs it will be essential to the lakers winning a championship.

  • Jordan Hill will. The Lakers need some offensive firepower off the bench and that is exactly what Jamison will do while Dwight is out and while he is playing.

We'll let the coach decide. I think it will be Hill and Pau switching in both positions while Jamison will remain a power forward.
