Why is CM Punk so overrated?

"Best in the World" is a gimmick you moron. Quit being a mark.

He is pretty good in the ring, so I don't think he is overrated, the whole "Best in the World" thing is just something Cm Punk started calling himself, and is just a slogan WWE uses to sell merchandise and T-shirts, it is kind of like Bret Hart saying he is "The Best there is, Best there was, and best there ever will be", obviously there are others who could make a legitimate claim to that!

Everything you say is true, but Cm Punk is one of the best at the moment, he is one of the more entertaining superstars on WWE! Even though I enjoyed watching Steve Austin in the attitude era, that is over, and this generation of fans has Cm Punk, they didn't witness Austin but are seeing Cm Punk right now, so I can understand why they support Cm Punk, and even I don't expect Austin to return to wrestling, so if I had to pick someone to face the Rock from this generation I think Punk is better than anyone else!

"Best in the world" is a gimmick. him saying that is kayfabe. but punk is definitely a better worker than all those three men you just mentioned. and look, there's barely a damn thing one could say is "completely original" anymore. wwe has to recycle old material because let's be honest, it's not easy to come up with new things that will be a hook for the entire wwe viewing audience. cm punk is damn entertaining. he's the best thing on wwe tv right now, and his charisma is through the roof. Honestly, he may not be the best wrestler on the roster, but he's stolen the show in nearly every ppv in 2012. as for punk being as repetitive as cena, i have to disagree with you there. watch his matches with daniel bryan. both of his 2 ppv matches were very different, and not very repetitive at all. he used a wide variety of moves and did many DIFFERENT things. same thing goes for his matches with jericho. I like punk because he's a great wrestler, a great entertainer, and has loads of charisma, and people like you are proving that punk is underrated, not overrated. BAM.

Punk is my overrated actually he is still underrated....if u check his days in ROH...the moves he performed are too tough and couldnt be performed by otherw wrestler not even Austin rock randy...keep cena aside he can't perform his own moves properly...

N for your information Punk was voted #1 by PWI amognst other 500 wrestler in the list from WWE,TNA,CZW and other industries...

I have been on Yahoo's Answer Wresting section for 2 months and this one of the the best questions I've read. CM Punk is OVERRATED. Stone Cold is better, y2J is better, The Rock is better, Hogan is better, Cena is better, Ortan is better, Kane is better, HHH is better. CM Punk is a good wrestler but really overrated.

I agree with you on the point that people praise him so much for setting off pipebombs. They don't like him as a wrestler, only as an entertainer. These same morons expect shoots and pipebombs every week.

The reason to CM punk's actions being overated(along with his behaviour), is motivated by the expectations his fans expect him to meet & mass media,as a result,he acts towards these with such actions and unruly behaviour.

you know cm punk was a sidelined man and acting as one of the gangstas in cena's tinatron appearance to the ring when cena faced triple h at wrestlemania.............he was a bloody spot boy nothing more than that!!!!!!
