re 2 hard drives laptop x53u asus?
it says splended grf .on d 'is this for saving files etc ???? not tried saving files on d yet .

most have only 1 drive, no room, but u can have 1 with 2 partitions, C & D, if u do have that, u have to direct, to where u want them to go. like u save a file, it is C:\ & just hit backspace on the C & put D in. if u don't have a drive with 2 partitions, there r programs to make them...if this helped pass it on

The drive D is usually used for the recovery program that will bring your computer back to factory defaults. However, if it is larger than your drive C then it can also be used to save your data.
By the way, you don't have to hard drives, just two partitions on a single hard drive.
