Muslims that have left Islam?

I am not going to tell a '**** and Bull ' story.

During my temporary stay in India(in a Northern District of West Bengal Province), I got Mikhail as my helping hand.He was born in a Muslim family with the name ' Malik'.. He was left alone at child hood for sad demise of parents & close relations in a bus accident.Ultimately some Christian Missionary picked him up to stay with them as christian.He read upto class viii, obtained vocational education and became a driver.He was passing days comfortably.Suddenly a tussle between Catholic and Protestants made him confused to leave all religious affinities.He was 23 when we met.He disclosed to me that he was watching the activities of Muslims around him and may go back to Islam if his wife would agree( who was converted to christianity from low caste Hinduism).Three years later when I was in Malaysia and almost forgot him, he sent a message informing that he is(was) now a Muslim and gave his previous name to his wife to be called 'Malika", whereas he became," Maruf".

GemIrfan answer way very same with Christian jenovah preaching and preaching, and I read it all message were from muslim people side only. Muslim didn't realize they become jenovah and be next christian. I know many muslims here disagree because strong belief in their mind and never accept other opinion and criminal question to their belief. So u will never get a real answer from them which copy and paste religion.

Sure there are Muslims who leave Islam but they were not stable and did not know anything factual about Islam in the first place (like from Iran). There are converstions publicised where the convert accuses Muslims - in one case a girl who was supported by her missionary church and then it proved to be false by her own admission, it was all a show. It's quite strange how many conversion stories Christians` stage - if they think they believe in truth then they should act in truth but their belief is not truth and their actions are to deceive.

There is not probably not a single person that is not approached by a Christian missionary and they are all over the world including in Africa where they are converting people in millions in return for providing for them (and make sure generations are converted by providing for next generation too) - and the African leaders are not happy about the Christian missionaries as they know what they have done and doing to Africa. The Christian Coptic's in Egypt would make you believe they are persecuted yet you will see the Christians in Egypt display their crosses very prominently on themselves and on their property like shops and it seems that it's more easier to find a church than a mosque. One characteristic of a Christian is they are liers and deceivers. They are full of fake Information about Islam. If people want to learn about Islam then they should go to ISLAMIC SCHOLARS not Christian tv and deceivers or straight to the authentic sourcess like Quran or authentic hadith.

My girlfriend was Muslim, she got told by her parents that she was getting married to her cousin in Pakistan so that he could get a uk passport, once she got married her parents told her she must sleep with him, they told her it was a sin if she didn't. Her parents locked her in the room with him and he raped her. She ended up locked in a house with him for a year, while he tried to get her pregnant. She would throw herself down the stairs so she would miscarriage. Eventually she had to be rushed into hospital due to an suicide attempt and told the police everything. She is now with me and loves the life she has. She still covers herself unless its really warm and sunny and she won't eat pork because it was drilled into her that it is a dirty animal and she won't drink for health reasons but she now has the freedom to do what she likes and belives there is a god but he is not an evil tyrant as portrayed in the Quran and bible.

I've seen some of the answers below and tbh it's a bit frustrating knowing people think that and some of it is pretty true

I know that there are people who convert from Islam and to be honest, it's because they see Islam's teachings oppressing, it's easy to think that because it all depends on your thinking. If Islam was really oppressing then why would people be converting? It's important to keep an open mind when learning anything new

A lot of muslim families mix culture and religion together, a lot of the oppression you think is from Islam, is actually from cultural traditions which Islam is actually against.

It's not women who wear a head scarf that are oppressed, it's their choice to wear it however I'm aware some people use force but the majority wear it to please their Lord, women nowadays reveal a lot of skin, I believe they're the ones who are oppressed, by the need of attention, wearing revealing clothes to attract the opposite sex, isn't that oppression?

It's just to provoke a thought, if you don't think it's oppression because they choose to wear revealing clothes, then why is a head scarf an oppression? Why is obeying your husbands REASONABLE REQUESTS oppression? Ignorance is anything but bliss (and I don't mean non muslims are ignorant, it's people who twist things to prove their point.)

To leave any religion is never going to be easy.

It would be counter productive for religions to actively say "And we have 205006 people who have decided not to believe."

Religion is about deluding people, Hence they will only publicise the ones stay or anything which supports such a belief.

I was a Christian before, because I was born in this way and I converted to Islam this year alhamdulilah because I learned the truth and this is so obvious. Before I also believed in God but I never questioned Christianity because it didn't matter. I just went once or twice in a year to Church and made since years the intention to start read the Bible. Yes sure when you have communion you learn about th Bible but this is kind of subject like maths. I drank, wear what I wanted, went where I wanted, had boyfriends, committed adultery, ate what I wanted and I thought I am fine because everyone else did the same. I had not even a second thought it might be wrong, even tho I knew that somehow it is not according to the bible. I heard it was not according to it. But I never searched for the proof. I believed that as along as I don't kill anyone I will com to heaven. Because I am a good person and I pray to God sometimes and sometime to Jesus and Maria and what ever I learned. I committed shirk - was putting next to God others which I was praying to. I had no idea. All seems fine in my life. I was married, had a great job, got a child and did always what I wanted. I lived like millions of Christians. My only limits were not to betray, not to kill and not to take drugs. Of course I helped people and considered myself as a good person. I have a very good education and I had no money problems. I was indeed very thankful to God that he makes me happy in every way. I was living in a Muslim country. The day I came here I realized how many lies the western world put on Muslims. I realized how kind are the people and that they don't disturb us even if we do what we want. I lived for many years in this way. Colleges and friend who were Muslims never try to convince me or to teach me even. They just were very kind to me. During the holy month of Ramadan I realized how nice this holy month is and that in Christianity there is nothing similar. I started to think about Christianity and I listened Yusuf Estes who is a former Christian. He told facts to me which knocked me out from my believe. He was right! How God can approve it when I pray to a human??? Why have I done this at all? Well I believed it is correct as I was thought so. I could not call myself a Christian anymore because I didn't believe the fact that Jesus (pbuh) is the son of God if no where is the claim!!! He tells it nowhere!!! And Bible is so many times changed that no one knows what is true and what not! Why I couldn't just pray to God and not to Maria or someone else??? I didn't knew. I just knew I believe in one God and only he is it worth that I pray to him. I need to thank him for everything he gives me and which way is more beautiful as in Islam? The fact is that Jesus (pbuh) is a major prophet in Islam. Everything I knew till now I didn't need to throw away but just put in the right way together. I felt that Islam just builds up on Christianity, like the next level. Everything I learned since then just convinced me more. I asked the very hard questions about 4 wifes and hijab and rights of woman. I need to know. I felt I went the right way. One day I felt for myself I am a Muslima and I made shahada for myself. Since then I got so many tests as all my wealth was taken away so quick and everything around me changed, like I was divorced from my husband. I know the truth now and I not only feel I am right but I am convinced. I love Islam from all my heart. It is such a beautiful religion with so many miracles. I never was hearing in Christianity that some one spoke in such lovely way about God of the new generation. I never saw a Christian who knew the words of the Bible 100% from the memory! So many Brothers and Sisters know the Qur'an from the memory or by heart and 80% are non Arabs. There are so many misconceptions about Islam due to traditions of the people or due to culture or because of lack of knowledge. Non Muslims point out on them and tell "c this is Islam" whereas this is not the teachings of Islam. Islam is peace and full of beauty and miracles. I thank Allah from all my heart that he choose me to be one of his believers! Someone who understood Islam, will never leave it, because it would be as you would leave yourself. Truth is truth!

im a female muslim, raised in a christian community in the states while my parents were always muslim. I was raised knowing that i could be in whatever religion i wanted as long as i knew enough about islam. So as a kid, i faced peerpressure and decided ti be christian for a few days. Lol.......but no it was just cuz my friends were. Agroing up i realized i didnt believe in thefact that jesus died for our sins, because why would god sacrifice his innoent faultless son for the guilt we have.???? I wasnt cinvinced..... I personally have a friend thats half muslim half christian as se claims to be ... She wants to be fully christians since her mom is and since u have more freedom. Thats basically why muslims leave islam. Because they dont like the fact of working and believing. Thy just want to naturally believe. I still currently am a fully convinsed muslim. :) i hope i gave u a good answer! :)

Also there are a good many books telling the stories of openly ex-Muslims, I'd recommend "Son of Hamas" as one whose aftermath is currently being played out as its author has attempted to return to Palestine where he is unwelcome.

In fact the vast majority of Muslims don't have any real grounding or belief in their faith, having to accept it secondhand as they are unable to read Qur'an which Muslims are not allowed to translate from 7th Century arabic. This is a pity as it is the work of a political genius, indeed Islam is a highly political faith & once you discount the parts plagiarised from Judaism, totally unlike the Abrahamic faiths it claims to be related to.

Although there are apparent conversions to other religions, most openly ex-Muslims become Christians same as I am, however the vast majority remain culturally Muslim whilst not actually believing it at all.

The cost? Absolutely everything, automatic death sentence etc. but worth all of it & more!

Think yourself, Which religion Says There is Only One God, Allah, is the Creator, not the creation, neither born nor gave birth.

There are Old & New Testaments. The Old Testament was revealed from the Only One God Allah (Who Created you, me and whole universe) to Prophet Jesus (Peace be upon Him). Why it is Hidden by the Popes? Because, its says the Truth, like Holy Quran. But the New Testaments, which were written by 40 authors in different times, with Contradictions, Vulgars, Changes & Inserted new versions.

How can a person believe it, as Holy Book from God? Why there is no only one Bible, like only one Holy Quran?

Do you know? The Holy Quran was revealed from the Only One God Allah (Who Created you, me and whole universe), by VOICE, thru Angle Gabriel to Prophet Mohammed (Peace be upon Him), before 1400 years. Since then, it has not been changed a single word from it's original in Arabic. Translations may vary. Because they are done by humans. The Only One God Allah (Who Created you, me and whole universe) Says in Holy Quran Chapter 3 Verse 64 :

Say, "O People of the Scripture (Holy Books), come to a word that is equitable between us and you - that we will not worship except Allah and not associate anything with Him and not take one another as lords instead of Allah ." But if they turn away, then say, "Bear witness that we are Muslims [submitting to Him].

God Allah gave you the thinking power. Think again and again. Ask yourself, Why? How? Is there any Scientific Proofs? The Holy Quran has the reply. I can't push you to embrace Islam. Allah Says in Holy Quran : Chapter 2 Verse 256. There is no compulsion in religion (Islam)....

Islam is easy, Holy Quran Chapter 2 Verse 185. ..."Allah intends for you ease, and He does not want to make things difficult for you"....

To check, just say heart fully "Ya Allah" always continuously, even on bed, except in toilet. Check after a month, how your life is improved. (This has been tested).
