Who doesn't like to see people have success?

I remember when I first heard about the earnings gap between workers and CEOs in the USA. I thought, good for them - but when you realize that these CEOs were capitalizing on, among other things, War Profits, People's Health, Resource extractions - while being the largest Pollution-causing corporations, Privatization of our Prisons and then packing them to overfilled, Students Credit to begin their working lives in debt already.

And they shipped our jobs overseas and got bonuses for doing so, most free from taxation or paying very little, or put in tax shelters in the Caymans, Swiss Banks, and others we probably don't even know of to avoid paying their share of taxes and not seeming to care about going in to debt with China..

They are forever attempting to reduce benefits on "workers" for being, unfortunately unemployed, raising a family, in poor health, hungry, at the mercy of acts of God, people who are underwater on their mortgages because Wall Street is legal gambling with "worker's" pensions and savings.

Because some corporations provide services for the "workers", these people that gained Success in these ways, should be made to profit some, above- breaking even, but never double, triple or 300% profits.

All "workers" want is Accountability - and a fair Congress

Update:

Really Agent 99? You can't accept that "workers" don't just want to live their lives free, own some shelter and some comfort, and have their tax dollars on their labor, pay for what they have been told it was for? like roads, bridges, security, safety, and health? Imagine all that being passed to each generation rather than debt due to wars and financial upheaval.

    A. I appreciate people who make money the right way

    B. "people who make money the right way" seem to be hard to find these days... and you point out pretty much why, so I don't have to...

    C. I'm a worker... all I want is a piece of the pie if things go well for the company... but do you know what happens?

they tell us "times are tough in this economy and we can't afford it" when MAKING RECORD PROFITS... then they give the CEO and all the managers a 500k bonus, since they came in under budget by NOT GIVING ANYONE RAISES...

yeah, some of us are paying attention and noticed... some of us have no clue and think "oh no, the company is in trouble, well, it's a good thing we have such great leadership and I'm sure they're earning every penny"

people say "go do a different company then"... but as I do leave and go to others... you start to notice it's not just a few companies that work like this... and really, since no one is paying any attention "because I don't' care how much people make, I'm not a communist"... they can do whatever they want... and not give you a raise for as long as they want... because most people are CLUELESS

Right on! I am so tired of hearing how it's just good Capitalism to having CEO's running around making millions over millions of dollars each year, as they lay off Americans, offshore work, mess up the world in the process and to add insult, get a bonus.

We heard Ann Romney talk at the RNC how her husband built a company that made it possible for others to have their dream. This is what Capitalism is all about. Now apply that to modern corporations. It's just not there. They, not the liberals, are killing the American Dream. When you can't afford to own a good home, a nice car, raise your kids and put them through college, as many before have been doing for many decades now, it's takes away from that very dream.

American Airlines is a classic example. The managers told the three unions they were losing money, and all had to take pay cuts several years back (way before the bankruptcy). They all took pay cuts, except at bonus time, all the big executives took mega-million dollar bonuses after all the unions took about a 20% pay cut. This is the reality most are seeing directly, or indirectly.

I think the only thing we can do is support small business, and let the big corporations fall a little. They're too big for their britches.

Democrats don't like to see success. Why? Because success means you can't control them by forcing them into indentured servitude through the use of social programs.

Yes, lets toss everyone and everything into a pot of culpability. LOL! Let's make no distinctions between industries, public and private and segregate us and them. LOL!

    Nice rant! LOL!

Great post, but I'll warn you that republicans will ignore all of this and just claim you're "jealous of success".
