WHY DO PEOPLE VOTE IF THEY THINK POLITICIANS ARE LIARS?
A while ago I overheard an old lady slagging off politicians saying, "you cant trust any of them". When it was said, you should stop voting she in anger said. "OH NO YOU MUST VOTE"
Then today an old friend of mine said the same things about politicians. "They will do what they want no matter who you vote for." But when when I said, "You should stop voting in a no show of confidence protest vote. Since the law is, when you vote your giving these people the lawful authority to carry out all the things you hate about them". But he said, "NO I'M MUST VOTING". And that I should get out more as though I was nuts for even posing the question.
Q: Are the people of this country suffering from the Stockholm syndrome, where their behaving sympathetically towards their kidnappers and will fight to the death to maintain their will over everyone.

Umm as far as I know most people do not vote anymore...
I suppose the reason why some still vote while knowing politicians are liars is simply that they do not know just how much they lie...
For example, when I was a teenager and started following politics I always knew politicians were liars, however, now that I am in my 30's I am starting to understand just how bad politicians really are, they aren't just liars, they are people with no morals, integrity or honesty... I have never voted and doubt I ever will because your vote does not matter, whoever gets elected will be bought out by elite bankers and influential corporations and whatever they promised to do they will do the opposite.
The people that vote do so because they think their vote will matter and they are doing their bit to help their country but they do not know the system is rigged....
Unfortunately this is because all people who still vote have not worked out that the current political/economic system this is the biggest lie/scam in human history.
If you don't know what I mean you are in for a shock in the future if you thrive to understand the history of the bankers.

Because at the end of the day whether you vote or not, one of them is going to be in charge of the country and I would prefer to have a say in who that is. You will have people say that Lib/Lab/Con are all the same, they clearly are not, if they were then a lot of the wealthiest people in the UK would not be funding the Tory party. The wealthy fund the Tory party as they know they will be looked after, the Unions back the Labour party with funds made up of millions of ordinary working class people, because they know the Labour party will look after the people they represent. We are quite fortunate in the UK in that we have a number of parties to choose from, so there is likely to be at least one whose policies suit someone. I don't believe all politicians are liars, I believe that some genuinely care about the people and the country. I'm also probably one of the few people that think Gordon Brown was a decent man with his heart in the right place, even if his mouth did drop him in it at times. He was certainly a better choice than what we have now.

It doesn't matter who you vote in. A politician by way of definition lies, cheats, steals, and manipulates. Even a contemporary, new candidate will swiftly flip bitter as soon as entrenched in Washington. A absolutely new Congress would end up grasping and self-interested in the face of lobbyists and companies which spend millions to make sure that their pursuits are looked after. The lack of accountability put up-election is the predicament. And the truth that Washington business is carried out in the sort of manner that the normal American can hardly ever realise what's going on. Try reading any invoice handed through the legislature. Its so convuluted that its no marvel many men and women have emerge as apathetic about politics.

The action of voting makes them temporarily feel like they have made some sort of difference. People love their comfortable and repeated illusions, however short-lived.

If there's an anti "political class" party(like the British National Party), people will vote for them.

The left says they are both the same. When you watch them in action the left always uses HATE words and the right used logic words.

Unfortunately, they are our leaders... They decide if you, or your children, go to war.... They decide if everyone get the same amount of rights, or merely a select few...They Decide if everyone, pays the same percentage, in taxes... Or some pay less... Not voting merely means, you have no say, in the mater, & there's a growing number, that like it... If you have no say...

Because they are hoping the next liar isn't as big a liar as the current one. It falls under the quote of "you can mistrust me less than you can mistrust him, trust me."
