Are these grades good enough to become a doctor?

I doubt now that I can be a doctor or even anything to do with medicine because of these GCSEs. They're not bad, but not excellent either, which is what you need in order to be accepted into medical school.

So here is what I got:

French B

History B

Maths A*

Science A

Additional science A

English lit A

English language B

The problem with these results is that in some of them I was so close to getting an A or A*, like in history the first exam I got an A* but in the next one I got a D, so it averaged out into a B overall.

Also, for A levels, I'm taking bio, chem, maths and psychology. Are A levels more important than GCSEs?

Thanks :)

Update:

Yeah, I get it :) thanks.

If you trying to get into med school by grades alone you more then likely will not make it. Years ago their were 1,000 people applying for 100 positions that Charleston, South Carolina Medical school had. Get the picture? If you really want to go to med school suggest that you volunteer to help out in a hospital, talk to the doctors and help them when you can, observe operations, all to get an idea of what you like to and can possibly do. Two big differences. Doing that instead of playing on the net, games etc. will increase your chances to get into med school. Now it is up to you.
