Have you ever had a JW at your door? Ever?

    Door: No

Approaching me on the sidewalk: Yes

My buddies friend is of asian descent, and a pair of Jehovas Witnesses came to his door so he pretended he couldn't speak english. A few days later the JW's sent over a Chinese JW.

When I was a little girl & they came to our door, my dad wouldn't let me open it, even though I'd already run over & had my hand on the knob, and they could see me through the window in the door.

I didn't know who they were then. My folks took us to church each week, but, weren't religious.

And as I attended Sunday School more & more questions came to my mind, which the church was not answering.

By the time I was a teen I had *many* questions regarding God & Bible teachings, was steered to them for answers (by my mom), and requested they study the Bible with me. What happened was that they kindly showed me the answers to each of my questions, from my own Bible.

I chose to help others the way they had helped me. (:

And, my Dad eventually studied, & went to many of their meetings . . . even while I was in hospital!

Yes. Jehovah's Witnesses are following a command of Jesus' found at Matthew 28:19, 20 'go therefore and make disciples of people's of all the nations... Teaching them the things I have commanded you.'

They come to engage people in Bible discussions and answer questions like 'What is God's Kingdom?' 'Why does God allow suffering?' and 'What happens to us when we die?' to name a few.

Here's the official answer that Jehovah's Witnesses give:

Yes. But I wish I had argued with them. They tried to convert me, who is a Muslim. They never returned after I told them that I share a lot of things that they believe in as a Muslim.

It's best to be kind to people like these. Everyone has feelings. JW's are just trying to help make the world a better place the way they know best. So why not help them do so along with anyone else who tries to help others? They honestly believe what they believe. I say be sensitive to other people's beliefs, and don't act rude. Unlike Atheists, they're rude to anyone who believes in a religion. They have no sense of sensibility towards other peoples' beliefs.

    Yes.

And I thank Jehovah God everyday that I did have someone at my door.

I now serve Almighty God Jehovah, with a bright future hope in front of me.

Yeah, a few times... I used to engage them in converstaion but it got tedious.

Now I just tell 'em I'm atheist and to have a nice day... ;)

I get them at my door every so often. In truth, I feel a bit sorry for them. Thanks but no thanks. They leave a copy of The Watchtower and that's it. Atheist here.
