Paul Ryan a serious contender?

I just saw this character Paul Ryan on TV giving a speech to thunderous applause in Florida.

What do you yanks really think of this bible-bashing, chest thumping, 'founding fathers' type of politicking? It would go down like a lead balloon here in Australia.

Patricia: well, really. How silly. I think 'our women' are more protected by not having every second person wandering around waving a gun!

    I think the republicans have war up their sleeve. They are setting the stage with all their god crap and keep defense. Have you been following the rest of the convention. McCain thinks we need to police the world. They all want to spend more on defense. (We spend more on defense than the next 20 top defense spending countries combined and they are our allies.) Ron Paul wanted to cut there first. I so wish we had a system like you guys have for candidates. Two that's a choice? Third party candidates get no attention. Your system for voting P M is so much better. I envy you guys.

    i think getting the nomination - ipso facto - means he IS a serious contenter.

    why wouldn't it make us happy? and it's why people literally die trying to get here. - only liberals have pretty much ruined it and we want it back. luckily we're going to get it back.

    and BTW, explain your Ozzy liberal agenda that outlawed guns and now violent crimes, especially rape, has increased by around 1/2 again.

    why aren't you manly Oz guys protecting your women, since you stripped her of her right to self defense?
