you have an idea of what you are going to do the next day and some events in your dream may correspond with what happened in your dream so your mind stores it as that your dream was the same as what happened. kind of like if you tell a story about your friend doing something enough times sooner or later you'll start thinking you were the person who did it. hope it answers your question.

It could be one side of your brain is possessing things slower that the other (usual cause of deja vu). But if you are predicting something way before something happens, I totally believe in pre-disposition( is that the right word?) sometimes I will just get a random thought, and it turns out to be true later on.
