Can large magnets effect the earths weather? (2 questions)?

I was discussing trans continental maglev highways with my friend. He told me that having to many magnets and large magnets will effect the magnetic field and effect the weather. And something about the moon getting closer to the earth because it is affected by the magnets affecting the magnetic field of the earth.

So the question is. Can very large magnets affect the earth?

    No.

    Humans have already created a magnet stronger that the Earth.

    No magnet made by humans would be large enough to affect the earth's weather. Even a strong magnet will not cause air to move or change direction, or cause precipitation, or anything like that. Air and water are not affected by magnets. Even the Earth's own huge magnetic field hardly affects the weather. To quote from the link below:

    "Most scientists think that changes in the magnetic field have very little effect on the Earth's weather and climate. The reason is simple: magnetic fields only act on moving electrical charge. Electricity flowing through a wire is an example of moving electrical charge. But with the exception of lightning and other very powerful electrical discharges, the lower part of Earth's atmosphere does not allow electrical charge to move through it, so it is unchanged by magnetic fields."

    (and lightning will not be affected by any magnet humans make, because lightning is just too powerful)

    And the stuff about the moon getting closer to earth is nonsense - even the earth's powerful magnetic field has no effect on the moon, let alone any magnet humans could make. And human magnets, however powerful, do not affect the earth's magnetic field. They only create a localized magnetic field. In fact, the moon is very very slowly moving away from the earth. But it is not because of magnetic fields. If a magnet was strong enough to pull the moon in our direction, imagine what it would do to a wristwatch or a car. The earth's magnetic field is only strong enough to turn the needle of a compass, and not much else. Your friend is not a reliable source of information.

    So, Can very large magnets affect the earth? No

    Didn't you hear that size doesn't matter? It's the field intensity that is important.

    Regardless of it, try it this way: get a "large magnet" and see if you can change the environment in a small scale (living room). You know -- simple stuff like

    - temperature (other than heating up the room because of the electricity you're using to make it run, just the same way you heat up a room if you toast some bread or boil some tea);

    - vapor condensation.

    Pay attention to the "before" and "after", try it on different days, different rooms, different houses, very filled up houses, very "minimalist" decorations.

    If it does, then you can start to discuss how "large" does a magnet have to be to affect a volume much larger than a living room.

    I even have in no way seen plenty element interior the Bible than interior the part of judgment. yet that's this very concern the place various persons, Christians coated, get it so incorrect. indexed under are only some straight forward concepts. A Christian is in no thank you to ex-talk or condemn - Matthew 7:a million A Christian is to not choose a non-Christian - a million Corinthians 5:13 A Christian IS assume to choose somebody claiming to be a believer - a million Corinthians 5:12 A non-believer's judgment consists of no weight with God - a million Corinthians 2:15 The Christian is judged on a regular basis precise now, the non-believer later - a million Peter 4:17 because of the fact the believer's previous nature is ineffective and is born returned in Christ, the tip judgment will not prepare. - John 5:24

    gravity and EM(combination of electricity and magnetism) may sometimes act in a likewise manner but are definatly not the same. gravity affects mass where EM affects electricity, electric field and charged particles. and although it might increase the chance in case of a lightning storm for hte lightning to hit the maglev, it definatly wont increase chances foer sucha storm or any other kind of werather, and definatly wont affect the moon at all

    That's a very attractive idea. I'm very drawn to it.
