What do you think about a college for me?

So I want to go to a college in New England, and i want it to have a good music program. I also want it to be a really good college, like maybe an ivy league or something a step under that. I'm a sophomore, and my gpa is 4.0. I've been on academic decathlon for 2 years, i participated in honors and all-state band, (on trombone) and I play cello. I also sing in select chorus and i am an active member in the portland youth wind ensemble. I have 100+ hours of community service, and i tutor kids in the trombone. Lastly, I am in all honors classes and 2 ap classes.

Be careful to choose a Major with decent career prospects unless you're already rich and don't have to work for a living.

Fairfield University is an excellent college in Connecticut. Writes the ACTA Education Foundation:

"Fairfield earns a high "B" by requiring all students to take English composition, two semesters of literature, two semesters of foreign language at the intermediate level, and two semesters of natural science. The requirements do not end there: all students also take two semesters of philosophy and two semesters of visual or performing arts."

Dartmouth, Providence and Williams are also colleges worth investigating.

For music in New England, consider New England Conservatory.

For some good, just under Ivy League, colleges in New England that offer music, consider Marlboro, Clark, Hampshire, and Williams
