Which do you prefer, to give blood or donate money?

Iwould prefer to donate blood, because no offense, but no one is ever going to stop the crisis in Africa because there are so many sick people. I am not a selfish person, but surely we should be helping the sick people in out country first? What is the point in having all of these expensive things if there is no one here to use them?

As you say, much of the money people donate goes towards administration costs, and often money donated to the poor in Africa is used to buy weapons.

I would far rather donate blood or organs so that lives could actually be saved or improved,

My husband died recently, and because he had cancer not many of his organs were suitable for donation. How-ever his corneas saved the sight of another person. Far more beneficial than me giving that person money.
