Are others angry when not received a thanks?
Do other answerers on here also feel anger when a questioner doesn't thank them? Especially when you did the only answer, and/or spent much care and attention with your answer.
A few months ago there were some technical issues for mobile phone users, and unfortunately I couldn't do Best Answers, but I certainly did try.

why get offended? you don't know these people. they owe you nothing.
good manners are nice, and so are reasonable people who don't get offended when someone omits a "thank you".

For the most part, no. I only spend a short time on most questions, so I don't expect a thank you or even a comment.
On those questions I do spend a good deal of thought on and give a genuinely helpful answer, at least a comment would be nice.

I don't answer questions (or really do anything else) in expectation of a "thank you". It's always nice to be thanked, but I certainly don't expect it or get angry if I don't get it.

In some cultures saying "Thank you" Is actually considered rude. Because it implies that the person had to make an effort in order to be nice as opposed to it just being in their nature to be nice.

I don't expect thanks but it is nice when I get it.
