Why can't I open any PDF files?
I imaged a few hard copy documents this morning and saved to PDF files for sending out to clients. No problems at all - I scanned, renamed, moved to an appropriate folder and then emailed. I took a break and came back to find that I cannot open any PDF files at all. I simply get a message stating that an error has occurred and "access denied" which seems a bit strange - this is a home lap top and not a network machine. I have Adobe X loaded at the moment. Can anyone suggest a solution please.

I had Adobe X and got shot of it and reinstalled Adobe Reader 9. X costs to make PDF's and its on-line
Access denied? sounds like you have been relieved of the Permissions to access the files you created.
Try this: right click on the /a PDF file and click Properties at the bottom of the drop-down box.
In the next box, If there is an entry there that reads something very much like "This file has come from another computer and you don't have permission to access it", click the checkmark that is in a wee box there and you will have removed that 'block' on you.
I have seen this happen with files emailed to me and couldn't figure out why I was denied access, until I went to Properties to check permissions and take ownership of the files, if I had to.
It worked for me. I think it happens because the files have been created on another computer, converted to say PDF through Adobe who do the on-line conversion from Docx or whatever to PDF and that it is in that process that the permissions are tied to the computer on which the files originated. Stupid I know, but it happens.
Hope you get a good result.
If not, you'll have to check into the Properties section again and get into the 'Security' tab and start giving yourself the permissions/taking ownership method.

this could sound stupid, and forgive me, yet one has to rule out all opportunities first. You DO have Adobe Reader on your computer? if so, I even have stumbled on with the aid of the years that sometimes if the document you attempt to open replaced into initially created in a various version to this equipment you have, it would not constantly open whilst clicking on the document icon. although, I even have in no way had any hassle in any respect whilst commencing this equipment first and then commencing the document from interior this equipment. If this would not artwork, in all likelihood the document has been corrupted in some way and that i could propose getting into the process the get carry of technique back.

So..
The last version of Adobe Flash Player is the only solution if you have problems to watch videos online, like if you see black screen or if you have problems to load the video.
